Up for sale today is this Authentic King of Cool Steve McQueen Personally Owned Leather Racing Jacket. Leather Jacket was gifted by Steve McQueen to Joe Franklin in 1978 while promoting his movie "An Enemy of The People". When Steve learned that Joe Franklin would ask guests and friends that appeared on his New York TV show to gift a personal item for his collection Steve took the jacket off his back and generously offered it to Joe. Comes with a letter signed by Joe Franklin authenticating the Jacket as part of his Memory Lane Collection. The jacket is made by Oleg Cassini and is size 42R. Once archived in The Joe Franklin Memory Lane Collection now it could be yours.
Franklin was an American radio and television host personality, author and actor from New York City. His television series debuted in January 1951 on WJZ-TV (later WABC-TV), moving to WOR-TV (later WWOR-TV) in 1962, remaining there until 1993, one of the longest running uninterrupted careers in broadcasting history. Franklin was well known for asking his guest to contribute a piece of memorabilia for his Memory Lane Collection and Restaurant.
